the one where Baylor won the Alamo Bowl!!

It's not every day that Baylor's quarterback wins the Heisman and leads the team to a bowl game!  And when that happens, as a loyal Baylor Bear who has been a fan since getting a first down was something to cheer about, you GO!  You take two days off work, pile in a car with your college roommates and drive to San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl!!  I didn't get to go to any games this season and I needed to support my Bears!!

We went to the game with the Massenburgs.  Leslie was my roommate and sorority sister; Michael was Brian's roommate and fraternity brother.  It was fun to spend time with them again!  Leslie and I had seats in the upper deck.  The boys were on the field as photographers - Brian's dad is a sports photographer and was able to get two extra media passes.

After half time, the boys took turns taking us down to the field.  It was surreal to be right there - the players are HUGE!  Don't I look official?

 Baylor was down at the end of the first half, but scored 43 points in the second half to win 67-56!!  It was AWESOME!!!  And so fun to be on the field when they won!!

By the time the game was over and we got to leave, it was after 1:00 a.m.! Luckily, Leslie's grandmother lives close to the stadium and let us crash there.  The next day, we slept in and then had lunch at EZ's before heading back to Dallas.  It was a quick trip and I wish we had had more time to stop at the River Walk or eat in Waco, but I'm glad we were able to go.  It was so fun!!!
