Alternatively titled: the one with a girls weekend

Once or twice a year the stars align and I get to spend some time with two fun friends, Kasey and Emily.  A few weekends ago, we were lucky enough to get two whole days together!  The three of us met in Dallas and drove out to Canton for a full day of shopping.  Canton has row after row after row of booths and shops - and we saw it all.  Frito pies, ice cream and Cokes kept our energy up.  Each of us came home with Christmas decor, a few gifts and a few treats for ourselves.  It was so fun!  Especially because Kasey brought her fanny pack!  Love it!!

That night we headed back to Dallas to spend the night in the brand new Omni Hotel in downtown.  The hotel was so nice!  It has a great view of Dallas, a lively lobby and some schmancy perks.  We stayed up late talking and enjoying the view.

On Saturday morning, we ordered spectacularly delicious room service - breakfast burrito for me, waffles for Kasey and french toast for Emily with a big pot of coffee to share.  We watched some of the Dallas Christmas parade from our window while we got ready.

We packed up and headed up north to old town McKinney to hit some more shops.

Our main goal was to hit up Bloom - aka Kendi's new shop!  Her shop was really cute (I got a navy polka dot dress) and Kendi was sweet.  McKinney has a super cute town square and we went in all of the shops.

After McKinney, we picked up In-N-Out Burgers and came to my apartment to watch Baylor kick UT in the rear.  It was stressful, but so worth it to watch the game.  Sic 'em Bears!!!  We did a little bit more shopping at Northpark Mall before heading to Forth Worth to spend the night at Emily's house.  On Sunday morning, we had bagels and played with Emily's sweet two-year-old daughter before we all headed home.  It was so nice to spend so much quality time with my girls.  I love the comfort of being with friends who know you and understand.  Plus, it is always good to have two honest opinions when you are doing as much shopping as we did!!
